ADNA Select Player, Henrik Wiersholm had the opportunity this past weekend to play with Redfoo, part of the Eletropop Duo LMFAO.
Wiersholm is one of Athletic DNA’s top Select Players, and happened to be training at the Central Park Tennis Club in Seattle when Redfoo (real name, Stefan Gordy) came in to play.
Apparently, Redfoo tries to play tennis in every city he visits while on tour.
Recently in Seattle, he called Central Park Tennis Club to see if he could play, and set a time with coach Phil Anstel. Numerous ADNA Select players train at the facility, and many gathered to watch the pop sensation in action.
While chatting during the game, Coach Anstel pointed out Henrik Wiersholm – one of the ADNA Select players watching – who is considered one of the best players in the country for his age.
Redfoo asked Henrik to show him what he’s got.
“Playing was great. I was impressed with his serve and level of play, along with his relaxed and fun attitude,” Wiershom said. “You could tell that he really enjoys being on the court.”
Wiersholm and Redfoo played two tiebreakers, and Henrik won both, 10-8 & 10-2.
He also asked some of the girls to come down and play doubles that day, including Henrik’s younger sister.
“Redfoo spent a lot time with the kids, and truly came across as an avid tennis enthusiast,” said Henrik’s father.
LMFAO created such dance hits as Party Rock, I’m Sexy and I Know It, and Sorry for Party Rocking over the last two years.
